Nottingham Area Prayer Group is one of the prayer groups of All Saints Mar Thoma Church, Peterborough. The church is under the UK & Europe Zone of the Diocese of North America & Europe of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar. It is believed to have been established by St. Thomas the Apostle in 52 AD in Kerala, the southern state of India.
The Mar Thoma church defines itself as Apostolic in origin, Eastern in traditions, Episcopal in nature, Democratic in administration, Catholic in mission, Reformed in faith, Evangelistic in outreach and Ecumenical in Vision.

The Church shares the motto of the Mar Thoma Church, with the role of the church to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Every believer and member of the Church, wherever they are, are given the light so that they can lighten others.
